Taxes
Tax Collection for the Town of Parishville occurs twice a year.
School taxes are generated and mailed by St. Lawrence County at the beginning of September and collected by the tax collector located at the Parishville- Hopkinton Central School. Payments in full may be made without penalty by September 30 or in 3 monthly installments which will include a 1% service fee with the last payment due to the St. Lawrence County Treasurer's Office in Canton.
Town and County taxes are also generated and sent by St. Lawrence County. These are sent at the first of each calendar year and are collected by the Town Clerk/Tax Collector located at the Parishville Town Hall in the center of town. Payments in full may be made without penalty by January 31 or with installment payments, which will include a 2% service charge, and may be made with the last payment due at the end of May.
STAR (school tax relief) provides an exemption from school property taxes for owner occupied primary residences. Persons need to apply through their local assessor. Application deadline for each year is March the 1st.
