the fence across the gorge bridge is temporary until the fencing project is completed around the water area. when the project is completed this gate will be removed and atv / foot traffic will once again resume.
As you may already be aware, Brookfield Power is currently in the process of posting and fencing their property at the gorge area. it is understood that for years this has been a popular spot for thrill seekers, but due to LIABILITY issues swimmers will no longer be permitted to enter the property at this site. Brookfield power has made it very clear that individuals trespassing at this site will be charged accordingly. Brookfield has been working closely with the Town Supervisor's Office, to maintain access to the trail and bridge that cross the water, for continued use by the community. please be respectful and refrain from using this site for swimming purposes.
